Saturday was a beautiful day and Norman and I found ourselves in a proper nice street in North London where we were asked to provide the meet and greet security presence to celebrate what we thought was Gemma’s birthday party, but was in fact her Bar Mitzvah. Her family had loads of people invited and that was why we had to make sure that it was the friends and family only that entered and got access to the lovely food on offer. Oh, I met a horse called Clive…or was it Jenny?! Norm  has got the photographic proof! After all the guests had arrived and started tucking into their buffet, our job was done and the waiters had just begun. They hung around for a while to dish out the chips and pizza to the kids and make all the adults stare in wonder or it may have been disbelief. The final hour of the party was karaoke. From what I heard, it was sounding very good although a little alternative sounding inside the marquee. The band were called ‘With Condiments’ and were great fun. Everyone got up and sang along to such anthems as the Spice Girls – Wannabe. I guess it had to be seen and heard to be believed. Another chaotic day…
