I’ll be totally honest, I can’t remember the name of the woman who’s Birthday party it was. I’m not paid to think. I’m paid to be a secure reassurance to the party going public. This particular party was situated in a big tent. Well it was a marquee, but to me they are the same thing! We were there because it was a private event in a very public place – on a beach promenade. It was a fancy dress party with all party-goers dressed as pirates. It was paramount that A1 Security were present and at the top of our game, as there could have been the potential for real knives and guns being smuggled inside. People will dress up as anything to try and hide any weapons of distraction. Our top of the range metal detectors provided the necessary back-up and we did not experience any beef with regards to any sharp metal objects etc. The evening passed off peacefully and every guest got into the tent. Some far sooner than others. But as I may or may not have mentioned before, I take risks when it comes to money. I don’t take any risks when it comes to security.
